Effects of Feedback on Performance in iDANCE


A study on the effects of feedback in performance in iDANCE measured how much improvement occurs in two hours of training over a period of two days while playing Positive Gaming's iDANCE game system. Participants were divided into two groups; one that received feedback and one that did not. Each participant was given a heart monitor to track heart rate during the sessions, and had to complete a survey and rate the perceived exertion while playing iDANCE.

The iDANCE software provided the participants with the necessary feedback on step count, step accuracy, and percentage of correct steps. Both groups managed to improve their scores, but the results were not the same for all the categories.
