1st iDANCE workshop in Croatia

In July and August 2010 Croatian iDANCE team organised the 1st iDANCE workshop. The purpose of this workshop was to educate and licence trainers for needs of Croatian projects within club Mrak korak and iDANCE Zone concept.

Participants were students from different fields of study and interests: sportsmen, professional dancers, fitness enthusiasts, future teachers and kinesiologists. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the global Positive Gaming project, the way in which iDANCE system operates, to understand its benefits, and the last but not least, to teach everyone how to handle the system. The theoretical part of the workshop was naturally accompanied by practice, i.e. active playing of iDANCE game. Obtaining an iDANCE leader licence required passing defined difficulty levels at the end of the workshop.

The 1st iDANCE workshop enabled to prepare the team for two main directions: one is support of the Croatian project and the other education of leaders for junior and other fitness programmes and various fun and events programmes.

At the end of the year team iDANCE Croatia is planning to organise the 2nd iDANCE workshop, which will be focused both on students of Kinesiology and professionals who are experienced in leading group fitness programmes. This will at the same time mark beginning of a new Cro project, about which we’ll know more closer to the end of the year.
